Give 'em $5

In an effort to assist the West community, which was devastated by an explosion at a fertilizer plant last week, Lewisville ISD (LISD) has launched a "Give 'em $5" campaign asking staff, parents and students to donate $5 to help West ISD and first-responders' families who suffered a loss due to the explosion.

5th Grade LEAP Students, Saysha Williams- Poppert and Esther Kim, have organized and are running a canned food drive for the North Texas Food Bank. Please send in your non-perishable donations by April 26th!

LISD Third-Graders Attend Symphony Concert

More than 3,800 third-graders from across Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) recently attended a live performance of the Lewisville Lake Symphony as part of music TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) to incorporate the study of dance, music, theater and the visual arts, as well as offer a unique experience and empower students to explore realities, relationships and ideas.

Rockbrook Students Celebrate Learning

Education is changing at Rockbrook Elementary (Rockbrook). Lewisville ISD’s (LISD) Strategic Design has allowed educators freedom to introduce new techniques such as project-based learning (PBL). During Black History Month in February, students and teachers used the method to enhance learning as they planned and executed a “Let’s Celebrate” community event to honor contributions from African-American culture to today’s world.
